User
ID/Password Recovery
The
User ID and Password used in the Premium, Professional and Office
Editions is supplied by you when you first register the software.
Slateboard has no way to recover this remotely. If you cannot
remember your User ID and/or password, you have two choices. If
your data is not important, you can delete the old database and
reinstall the software, or if you must recover your data, we offer
a Password Recovery Service.
I Don't
Need My Data
If you
do not need your data, then you need to delete your old database. Here
are the steps:
- Run
your program.
- At the
login window where you are prompted for your user id and password,
press CTRL-SHIFT-D all at once.
- You
should see a window titled "MANUAL GENERATION - SYSTEM
INFO".
- Near the middle of this window is a line that
starts "SQLCA.DBParm". This line
contains a directory and file name ending in MDB.
- Open
Windows Explorer and navigate to this directory.
Note that the "All Users" or "Application Data"
directories may be hidden. Typing the directory name directly into
Windows Explorer will allow you to navigate to this directory or you
can change your Explorer settings to allow you to view hidden directories.
- Once
you have found the directory, delete the file with an "mdb"
extension that matches the file name from step #4.
- Go back
to your program, click OK to clear the pop-up then
exit.
- From
the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, uninstall
the program.
- Reinstall
the program. This will create a new database and you will be able
to create a new user id and password after registering.
